AI literacy: a snapshot of a silent gap

Report on the state of artificial intelligence literacy in Spain: what citizens know, what they think they know and where the most significant gaps are.

The study combines survey data with qualitative interviews and analyses differences by age, education level and work environment. One of the central conclusions is that the most decisive gap is not access to the tools, but the judgement to interpret their results.

Key findings

Reported use of generative tools is growing faster than understanding of their limits. Confidence in the results is highest among those who know least about how they work. On-the-job training is now the main learning channel, far ahead of the formal education system.
